Here are a few of my favorite paintings below, more are located in the gallery.

Welcome to Sharon’s Artwork!
About the Art
My art is comprised of acrylic paintings of outdoor sports, animals, abstract, paint pouring, nature, and paintings in which I was inspired to do. Many of the outdoor sports photos provided were from the students at Garrett College in the Adventure Sports Program, where I worked for 22 years. There’s usually some kind of story behind each and every one of these paintings. Watch for blog OR NEWSLETTER posts regarding the background of the paintings.

About the Artist
I’m a skilled self-taught artist who began to take my art seriously in 2006. My work is on display at the Gallery Shop in downtown Oakland, MD. I was featured in The Lake-Front Magazine, displayed in the Chamber of Commerce, Garrett College Library, Garrett Colleges Performing Arts Center, and the Garrett County Courthouse. Participated in the Artists Studio Tours. In addition, I have had an Art Show & taught con-ed courses at Garrett College. I also offer Paint Parties on the back deck of my place in the summer.
There are many types of paintings of new techniques I am trying.
Grant for development and provision of this website was provided by the MD State Arts Grant through the Garrett County Arts Council and GC Commissioners. NEED & LOGO
A Legacy Of Creativity Since 2006
In 2006, I ordered an acrylic painting kit and began painting. As I was becoming more intrigued and learning new techniques, and working at the college in the Adventure Sports program, and was able to obtain unlimited amounts of photos by the students to paint. They are a favorite of mine. Thus, my first exposure of my work was being accepted by the GC Arts Council to display my work in the Gallery Shop. This was followed by having a show at the college. I have since enjoyed the shows, exhibits, teaching, and finding myself along the way
There are many acrylic artist’ out there, and they all have a style and are paid very well for their paintings. My style is mostly outside, whatever it is. I have been given a gift and I love to share it. Another type of art, I plan to explore is oil painting. I have taken a portrait oil painting course (once) in Grantsville, MD.

I am more intrigued about so many types of art I can explore.
